ED SHEERAN HAS been keeping a low profile since he ended his world tour last year, but he resurfaced recently for a very special surprise.
Nine-year-old Melody Driscoll has spent 80% of her life in hospital, having been diagnosed with Rett Syndrome (a genetic neurological disorder) at an early age.
Her condition is classed as ‘life limiting’ but, as her parents write on her Facebook page, she finds solace in music.
Her life is a constant struggle however she has an escape through her love of music. She adores music, no matter what pain she is going through, her favourite singer – Ed Sheeran – can always get a smile from her.
According to The Telegraph, Melody’s mother Katrina started campaigning to get Ed to visit her daughter in 2016 – and she finally pulled it off last week.
The singer visited her at her bedside, tuned up her little pink guitar and played his song Photograph for her:

“I was really impressed because he had no press with him, no management, no cameras with him, no security, nothing,” Katrina said.
It meant the world to me to see her truly happy. The amount she has to go through and we managed to make her one dream come true.
So lovely.
