It absolutely lashed rain at Electric Picnic last night and there were scenes

Don’t take risks in treacherous tents.

PHOENIX, ALL TVVINS and A Tribe Called Quest were among the highlights of night two at Electric Picnic, but the main player all evening wasn’t a band or an artist.

It was the torrential rain.

It made for quite a unique light show

The on trend look for the Rave in the Woods this year? Rainjackets and hoods

You had to do anything you could to try and remain dry

It’s going to be an apocalyptic scene of mud this morning

“Noah’s EP Ark” sounds like the name of a tent that will be up at next year’s festival.

In some ways, given the weather was actually great for the first night, this was to be expected

The bands and the public kept going though

But there was only one word for this rain

Yes, mank.

Welcome to Ireland’s festival season.

For those not there? A combination of sympathy and a small pang of smugness
