LCD Soundsysem have made a return to live touring after a brief retirement in 2011. Frontman James Murphy has been back to Stradbally several times since the band last played in 2010, most recently running the Despacio tent at last year’s festival. He’s obviously a Laois fan.

Lana Del Rey played an infamous show in Dublin’s Vicar Street in 2013, where she broke down on stage, explaining later:

I thought it was sad to be in Ireland singing for people who really cared when I wasn’t sure if I did.

She returned to play in Cork in July 2014.

Tickets

Day tickets for Sunday sold out this morning after promoters gave weekend and day tickets an extra push ahead of this afternoon’s announcement. Family weekend camping tickets and campervan tickets are also sold out.

The day by day breakdown will not be announced until closer to the event.

Festival goers can once again avail of an installment plan which allows them to spread the cost of tickets over three months.
