SATURDAY HAD A lot to live up to if it was going to match Friday’s Electric Picnic shenanigans.
Luckily, it took it up a notch.
It was a good start to the day for some
And a chipper showed the GAA game, so that attracted a crowd
And this was always there for those suffering the effects of Friday night
The weather stayed solid going into the evening
The Riptide Movement played early on
The crowd were waiting for Mark McCabe
And Maniac 2000 went down OK with them.
David O’Doherty closed out the comedy stage in style
There was the regular eclectic mix of people taking to the stage
Glen Hansard pitched up
And did his thing in the Other Voices tent
Once the night came, the costumes got even better
And Sam Smith played the main stage
Everyone was waiting for Blur though, and this person put in some effort
Hope his view was grand.
As always, Blur killed it
And indulged in a little Ole Ole
But otherwise brought out the big guns
Which left everyone there satisfied
Now, just one night left.
