ELECTRIC PICNIC 2016 might be sold out, but for those lucky enough to nab tickets the organisers have announced some potentially very good news:
The lake in Stradbally Hall is going to be open for swimming.
They announced it on the EP Facebook and Twitter pages this afternoon – and people are loving the prospect
In the comments of the Facebook post – which had nearly 2000 likes in less than an hour – Electric Picnic were keen to stress that:
there will be trained life guards on duty throughout the weekend.
EP also announced that the lake will only be open to festival-goers at very specific times – namely between 10am-1pm and 1.30pm-7pm on the weekends. The morning sessions will be exclusively for families and the evening sessions exclusively for adults.
Needless to say, some people are excited at the thought of cooling off in the lake
While others have speculated on the realities of festival swimming
Here’s a picture of the manmade lake on site – imagine the hungover craic
Even more so this year, people will be PRAYING for some good weather.
