ORGANISERS OF ELECTRIC Picnic have responded to criticism of what appears to be a diminished Friday evening line-up.
The day-by-day breakdown was announced earlier this week, with just 6 acts confirmed to be performing on the first night.
A spokesperson for the festival told DailyEdge.ie that the “main focus is on the main stage on the Friday”.
The spokesperson also indicated that Giorgio Moroder will be the sole performer in the Electric Arena on Friday night, while Hudson Taylor, Miles Kane, Fatboy Slim, My Bloody Valentine and Wu-Tang Clan will perform on the main stage.
The Body and Soul Arena, the Trailer Park and the Salty Dog stage will all be in action on Friday, with the latter kicking off at 4 in the afternoon.
The line-up for the Salty Dog stage has also been released. You can view all the acts playing on the purpose-built pirate ship here.
The Trailer Park, Jerry Fish Electric Slideshow and Jimmy’s Juke Joint rosters have also been revealed.
