Electric Picnic has sold out, and people are DEVASTATED

It’s MARCH.

EARLIER THIS EVENING, Electric Picnic organisers announced that tickets for the festival had sold out in record time.

Yes, we haven’t even celebrated Paddy’s Day and all the tickets have been snapped up. (To put that into perspective, tickets didn’t sell out until June last year.)

Gone are the days when you and your mates could weigh up the pros and cons of going until the middle of the summer and decide last minute, “F**k it, we’ll go.” It seems Electric Picnic is now the Garth Brooks of music festivals.

As you might expect, there’s a lot of broken hearts around this Friday evening

People have questions.

Like how?

Is this some sort of sick joke?

Who is responsible for this?

How?

This sums up the general mood, really

After all, it’s only bloody March.

The people of Ireland should at least be able to horse into their Easter eggs before worrying about procuring Electric Picnic tickets.

Spare a thought for those who thought they were being really clever by getting a ticket early… but might have to head to the festival alone

D’oh.

In the meantime, get used to seeing a lot more of this on your timeline…

And, hey, stay positive

A prayer to St. Anthony mightn’t go astray either…
