NOT EVEN TWO months ago, Emily Ratajkowski surprised us all by getting married to her boyfriend of one month in a €160 suit from Zara. From reading that sentence alone, it’s not hard to imagine that this was a real spur of the moment thing.
In spite of that, Chrissy Teigen was a bit hurt that she didn’t receive an invitation. Like many of us, Chrissy overestimated the contribution that a few likes on Instagram can contribute to a real life relationship.
Real life isn’t like The Sims, where you can build relationships through some incessant usage of a phone over a short period of time. However, Chrissy was at a real loss.
Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest decided to ask Emily what the story was with Chrissy’s invitation.
While she was chatting on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Emily explained that it was a pretty low-key function.
You always need one witness, and I couldn’t choose one person, so we ended up bringing four or five friends each, a couple dogs. We were quite a little crew.
Kelly Ripa brought up Chrissy Teigen’s tweets and Emily explained herself:
I actually really felt bad, like oh my god, she’s calling me out! But, a lot of people weren’t there. I know her, but I don’t know if she would have been the first person at a 10-person wedding that I would have invited. She’s like, number 12.
Ratajkowski added that if it had been a 15-person wedding, then Chrissy, John and the baby would have all been there.
She’s lovely.
