YESTERDAY, IT WAS revealed that Blake Lively once moonlighted as Emma Bunton.
And she did a pretty good job of it, by all accounts.
In a case of catfishing that would impress even Nev Schulman, Blake convinced Spice Girls fan, Bria Madrid, that she was Baby Spice at a concert back in 1997.
Sounding only bloody delighted with herself, 30-year-old Blake offered Bria a half-assed apology for posing alongside her and neglecting to mention she was not in fact the child’s British pop idol.
Posting a message to Bria on Instagram, she wrote:
Pretending to be someone else… since 1997 (Thanks @briaaamadrid for the photo of us at the Spice Girls concert. Sorry -not sorry- I tricked you into thinking I was @emmaleebunton)
And then it was Blake’s turn to feel a little starstruck.
Emma Bunton actually replied to the tag, and Blake fan-girled all over herself.
Praising Blake’s catfishing abilities, 42-year-old Emma wrote:
So cute, you’re rocking those pigtails @blakelively.
And if Blake’s plan was to play it cool in response, she failed miserably.
After announcing she was damn near dead, Blake continued:
Forever bowing down to you. I cannot believe you know who I am. This will never be normal.
Jeez Blake, even Bria played it cooler when she thought she met Emma.
