Everyone is sharing this 15-year-old boy's letter about Emma Watson's UN speech

“If we want equality, it will take more effort than paying women the same as men.”

ED HOLTOM IS a fifteen-year-old school pupil in Hertfordshire.

He watched Emma Watson’s speech about feminism to the UN, and compared it to what he was seeing around him. And he was motivated to write a letter to the Telegraph.

That letter was published today, and is now being shared all over the damn place.

It’s been retweeted hundreds of times, on top of its other shares. It’s been covered in the news section of the Telegraph itself, on the Huffington Post and by Buzzfeed.

And it’s been lauded by many, many people.

Good lad.

(Ed has clarified on Twitter that he originally addressed the letter to “Dear Sir/Madam”, but it was edited by the Telegraph to read “Dear Sir”.)
