Pics: Is Enda able to generate his own electricity?*

ON FIRST GLANCE the above picture would indicate that the Taoiseach has powers similar to those of Emperor Palpatine in the Star Wars saga but look again and you’ll see it’s just an illusion.
In fact Enda Kenny was speaking in front of a graphic which shows how Ireland is now connected to Britain through a multi-million euro electricity interconnector built by EirGrid and which was unveiled today.
The 260-kilometre interconnector cost just under €600 million and will be able to carry 500 megawatts of electricity between the two countries. That’s enough energy to power 350,000 homes.
Which is just as well because Enda Kenny can’t generate electricity from his hands nor his head as these pictures might lead one to believe:
