What to watch on TV tonight: Tuesday
EVERY WEEKDAY lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
The Eurovision Song Contest Semi-Final (RTÉ2, 8pm)
The Irish entry isn’t appearing in a semi until this Thursday, but this is an ideal opportunity to check out the competition. The Contest is in Copenhagen this year, and the bookie favourite Armenia are performing tonight. DailyEdge.ie will be running the annual Eurovision live-blog from 8pm – don’t miss it.
Later With Jools Holland (BBC2, 10pm)
Eurovision not your thing? Then you might want to check out some slightly less kitsch music over with Jools – he has The Horrors and Aloe Blacc on the show tonight. Probably a good deal less of the glitter canons and key changes, but to each their own.
Miller’s Mountains (BBC One, 11.05pm)
The second in the trio of one-off sitcoms, last week’s with Dad joke aficionado Neil Morrissey. This week’s Comedy Playhouse outing stars Jimmy Chisholm as the leader of a ragtag bunch of mountain rescue volunteers. Featuring the amazing Sharon Rooney of My Mad Fat Diary as the pub landlady, this is definitely worth a look.
Trending: #StarWars: Rebels
With May the Fourth or #StarWarsDay just behind us, the cast announced, and pics emerging for the first time from Pinewood Studios, Star Wars interest is hitting peak levels ahead of the 2015 projected release date.
So no better time to watch the first-look trailer for the newest Star Wars TV series:
The Clone Wars series was successful, but also highly criticised by purists of the franchise, so it’ll be interesting to see how this show goes down with the community.
