WE’VE HAD THE FILM and now there’s the comic book of Mark Zuckerberg’s life which promises a more balanced portrayal of the Facebook founder’s life so far.
‘Mark Zuckerberg: Creator of Facebook’ is a 48-page “giant sized” issue written by freelance journalist Jerome Maida which hits comic book shops in the US this week.
The author claims that the comic book will give context to the complex figure of Zuckerberg, a Harvard dropout, whose social network phenomenon is worth an estimated $50 billion.
It has been released by Bluewater Productions who have also produced comic books for the likes of Sarah Palin and Justin Bieber.
Maida said in a press release:
Rightly or wrongly, Mark dealt harshly with some people on his way to where he is today.
As we see, he left many people feeling betrayed. I try my best to be fair here.
No one is totally innocent in this story. I try to represent each of the major players’ point of view.
Zuckerberg is the world’s youngest billionaire who was named TIME’s Person of the Year in 2010 with his social network creation closing in on 600 million members.
He is no stranger to controversy however with three former Harvard students claiming that the 26-year-old stole their idea for Facebook. The case was the focus of last year’s box office hit The Social Network.
