Facebook pledges to make special Look Back vid for grieving dad

So many feels.

FACEBOOK HAS SAID that it will make a special version of its Look Back video for a boy who died in 2012.

Jesse Berlin passed away two years ago, and when his parents John and Lisa saw the special anniversary videos appearing on Facebook yesterday, they longed to be able to see their son’s memories too.

So, John decided to take a chance and made this emotional appeal to Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook:

All we wanna do is see his movie, that’s it. I don’t even need to get on his account. If you guys could just do it yourself, I don’t care.

John Berlin

The video went viral after being posted to Reddit and has now been seen more than 700,000 times.

John has now posted several updates to his own Facebook page:

It worked. I was just contacted by Facebook by phone and they’re going to make a vid just for us.
They also said they’re going to look at how they can better help families who have lost loved ones. Thank you friends and Facebook.

Facebook are still working on Jesse’s video but his father says he will share it as soon as it becomes available.
