Fairytale of New York, now with added Gaeilge
IT’S ONE OF the most beloved Christmas tunes in Ireland, nay, the world. Now it’s in Irish.
TG4′s Róisín show saw Fred McClusky from Ros na Rún, along with Ailbhe Hession on keyboards adapting the classic with an Irish twist.
But it’s not the first time that the fairytale has been translated to our native tongue. Those pesky kids from Colaiste Lurgan dubbed the original video with an Irish rendition last year, before they basically took over the world.
