CALLING ALL STAR WARS couples – want to renew your wedding vows? The Death Star-themed chapel at the Dublin Invasion convention this weekend might be an option…

Darth Vader or a Jedi Knight will perform the ceremony making it the perfect photo opportunity for loved-up Star Wars fans.

Dublin Invasion, Ireland’s largest Star Wars convention, will be hosted this weekend in Citywest. The convention, happening all weekend from today, will feature Y-Wings, AT-ST Scout walkers, R2D2, Stormtroopers and even the dark lord Darth Vader himself. If you like Star Wars, you’ll know what all that’s about. If you don’t, apologies.

Some of the weekend’s special guests include the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi, the man behind the Boba Fett mask and one of the rebellious Ewoks. Star Wars actors James Arnold Taylor, Jeremy Bulloch and Mike Edmonds will be there to join in on celebrating all things Star Wars.

Astronomy Ireland will be explaining all things astronomy and space science related and Jedi Knights will be on hand at the event to see if the force is strong in anyone. There will be force training for kids also so best advised to bring your lightsaber.

So if you are hoping to hear Darth Vader say “the force is strong in this one” the convention takes place from May 4-7.
