Fibbers are holding a Linkin Park singalong party in aid of Pieta House
LINKIN PARK’S ALBUM Hybrid Theory is one that is dear to many of their fans.
In the seventeen years since its release, it has helped many people of all ages and has still managed to remain pretty timeless.
In light of the recent death of Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington, two Irish lads decided to pay their respects to both Chester and the band by organising a singalong, which will raise some money for an important charity in the process.

Last night Glenn Fitzpatrick and Joe Panama set up an event on Facebook for a Hybrid Theory singalong and within a couple of hours, a thousand people confirmed their interest in the event. Glenn came up with the idea and Joe helped him out with the organisation.
They wrote:
The singalong is a “chance for everyone to say goodbye to Chester and raise a toast to the impact Hybrid Theory has had.”

The singalong event won’t feature a live band, but rather the album played from start to finish and everyone “shouting along to their heart’s content.”
Stephen Mac Kell of Fibbers has kindly allowed the use of the venue for free for the event.

Although the circumstances that the event has risen from are extremely tragic, it looks set to be a very meaningful night for any fans of Linkin Park and it will undoubtedly help a lot of people whether through the event itself, or the money that it raises for Pieta House.
The event will be held on Thursday the 3rd of August at 9pm. Tickets for the event are €5 and if you’re not on Facebook, you can grab one here.
