WHICH NEW MOVIE release is worth the price of a cinema ticket this weekend?
We’re here to help you decide just that, with these trailers.
August: Osage County
(MovieClips Trailers/YouTube)
For fans of: Fecked-up families
Avoid if: You’re inexplicably not a Meryl Streep fan
This is a film adaptation of a play about a family – not a happy family, natch – who are drawn back home due to a domestic crisis. Streep plays the pill-addicted matriarch while the troubled siblings are played by Julia Roberts, Juliette Lewis and Ewan McGregor. Star-studded, but getting middling reviews.

Inside Llewyn Davis
(Movieclips Trailers/YouTube)
For fans of: Folk singers
Avoid if: You’ve gone electric
The Coen Brothers direct this tale (loosely based on the true-life story of singer Dave Van Ronk) about a week in the life of struggling folk singer, Llewyn Davis (Oscar Isaac) in 1961. A feckless – if endearing – fella, he plies his trade in the Greenwich Village venues from which stars such as Bob Dylan emerged. But Davis probably won’t find himself as famous as Bob.

Grudge Match
(Warner Bros Pictures/YouTube)
For fans of: Old lads beating each other up
Avoid if: You preferred de Niro in his prime
Sly Stallone and Robert de Niro play two boxers who were rivals back in the day, and finally meet in their older years for a grudge match. Oh dear, de Niro.
