IF YOU FOLLOW Amy Huberman on Twitter, you’ll know that last night was a big moment for her.
In recent days, the actress has shown a certain vulnerability when it came to the launch of her televisions series, Finding Joy, telling social media users: “It feels very exciting and scary as this is my own baby that I wrote.”
And at 9.35 last night, Amy was – in her own words – ‘scheduled to give birth to that baby.’
#FindingJoy starts tonight & it feels v exciting & scary as this is my own baby that I wrote. And now I’m scheduled to give birth to that baby on @rteone 9.35 if could tune in your eyeballs and tell your friends, family, fourth cousins & all randomers I’d be fierce grateful xx pic.twitter.com/gMmKF2hyoa

Yep, after much publicity, Finding Joy finally found its way on to our television screens.
But how did audiences take to the comedy, which follows Joy; a woman, who is working as a copy editor and navigating life in Dublin while still fresh from a break-up?
Well, the official reviews are in, and they’re mostly positive.
But let’s be honest, it’s the Twitter talk we’re really here for, and it’s a bit of a mixed bag, to be fair.
Well that was a total delight. #FindingJoy @amyhuberman I love you...

Too low brow for my liking. Love Amy as a person but it was forced, average and the gags gave me less than a giggle. Fart jokes in a lift? Yeah. Okayyyyy. #FindingJoy

Liking #findingjoy it is like Bridget Jones Diary knowing that Bridget married Brian O’Driscoll so all will be well in the end any way. Brain bubblegum stuff. And that’s ok :)
