FIRST DATES HAS a way of dragging you into people’s personal stories like no other show.

The Channel 4 version is well into its new season at this stage, and they’ve been ramping up the emotional currency recently.

And none more so than this widower’s story that’s gone massively viral on Facebook this weekend
