First Dates Ireland are celebrating their first engagement with Shannon and Ciara
FIRST DATES IRELAND can feel like a slow descent into toe-curling hell at times, but every so often we’re gifted a real gem or two.
And over the course of the show’s run, Shannon from Dublin and Ciara from Monaghan were certainly counted among those gems.
Following a first date in January 2018 that involved Baby Guinness and a mutual love for Mark McCabe’s Maniac 2000, the pair began dating.
And now, they’re heading down the aisle!
Sharing the news of the couple’s engagement on Twitter today, RTÉ paid tribute to the pair who found love on the dating show.
The proposal, which was captured on camera, shows Shannon speaking in front of friends and family at a party.
*Allow for a cliffhanger moment as Shannon makes her way towards Ciara.*
She then got down on one knee, and popped the question to her stunned girlfriend.
And yep, after Ciara said yes, the pair embraced, and Maniac 2000 rang out.
Proper order.
