The public is desperate for an update on Cian and Delia after their episode of First Dates

All great love stories start with jagerbombs.

SEASON FOUR OF First Dates Ireland kicked off last night. Love is very much still in the air.

Mateo’s back to bring some lovelorn cattle to the slaughter, including Aidan from Tralee and Siobhan from Youghal. Not great advertisements for Munster, guys.

Highlight’s from this pair’s “date” included Aidan forgetting her name and cracking on with a fellow dater while Siobhan was in the bathroom. Charming.

Despite all that, the pair decided they would meet up again romantically because as we all know, anything is possible on reality TV.

When are we erecting a statue for Mateo on Grafton Street, by the way? Long overdue, at this point. He greeted mother daughter duo Amy and Delia singing ‘It Takes Two’.

The pair downed shots before they headed off on their respective dates. Mammy Amy was matched with Donie, while Delia was paired with the lovely Cian.

But before Cian arrived, he managed to wrangle the gals into getting jagerbombs with him. Dry January? Never heard of her!

Anyway, back to Cian and Delia. The pair laughed so much over for a Fresh Prince of Bel Air reference that she needed her inhaler. Remember guys, it’s not love unless it causes you to have mild difficulty breathing.

After sharing their poignant experiences with their mental health and Delia promising to teach Cian sign language, people on social media are DYING to know what happened after the lift went down.

(Fair, given that there was sweet feck all going on between any of the other couples.)

Well, DailyEdge.ie hates to be the bearer of bad news, but by all accounts, Delia seems to have a boyfriend. That isn’t Cian. Sob.

“I went on a girl’s holiday to Tenerife and met a lovely guy, in McDonalds, as you do,” she told COCOtv after the fact. Curly fries really do bring people together.

Delia’s mam Amy didn’t have much luck either with Donie. Understandable though, given he shared a name with her ex-husband. Awks.

Maybe next week’s batch of v̶i̶c̶t̶i̶m̶s̶ participants will be luckier in love? Please God.
