OFTEN ON FIRST Dates, viewers get extremely invested in a couple only to find out at the end of the programme that they decided to be ‘just friends’. Not so this time.
Katie Greene and Ciaran Farrell met on the first series of the show last year – Ciaran admitted he was usually a shy guy, but he certainly charmed Katie (and the viewers at home):
Whoops!

Now, almost one year after they filmed for the series, Katie and Ciaran are still an item. YAY!
Speaking to Ryan Tubridy on his radio show yesterday morning, Toronto-based Katie said they’re now doing things long-distance:
RTÉ RTÉ
Ciaran said that although they went on plenty of dates before Katie left for Canada, they only made things official after she moved away:
He added that the show is “one of the best things I’ve ever done”.
As for the future – Katie plans to move back after a year in Toronto, and says Ciaran is a big reason for her to come home. Ah, lovely.
The new series of the show starts on RTÉ2 tonight at 9.30pm. Will there be another Katie and Ciaran? We hope so!
