WHEN WAS THE first colour movie? Most cinemagoers were only able to see films in colour from the 1920s – and they didn’t become universal until as late as the 1960s.
Film prints were hand-coloured from as early as 1895. But now the first true colour film has been unlocked using digital technology, 110 years after its creation.
This clip from the UK’s National Media Museum shows that film in all its flickery glory. Hope you’re looking forward to some gripping footage of birds on perches.
