Foo Fighters will play Slane Castle next year
FOO FIGHTERS HAVE confirmed that they will perform at Slane Castle next May.
Lead singer Dave Grohl made the announcement while chatting with RTÉ 2fm’s Rick O’Shea this afternoon.
The group have just released their eighth album, Sonic Highways, and this will be their first Irish gig since they headlined Oxegen in 2011.
The news has excited a lot of people.

No concert was held at Slane Castle this year, but recent headliners include Eminem, Bon Jovi, Kings of Leon and Oasis.
