THERE’S GOING TO be a new food festival in Dublin next month – called Taste City Fusion.
And it’s going to be a little different. Here’s what we know so far:
There will be 50 locations over the weekend, with Christchurch Cathedral as the hub
It’s going to be running from Thursday 22nd to Monday 26th October
As the festival explains, it’s going to be food heaven for those knocking around the city:
visitors will enjoy bespoke dining experiences, masterclasses and workshops, a street food fair, and more than fifty food and drink experiences, all dedicated to celebrating Dublin’s world-class food scene.
There are going to be some famous chefs knocking around
The likes of Paul Kelly, Kevin Thornton, Sunil Ghai, Mark Moriarty and Gavin McDonagh will be part of the festival line up.
The best young chef in the world will also be there - combining fine dining with “peasant chic”
“A four-course Medieval Banquet, combining fine dining with ‘peasant chic’, in the atmospheric twelfth century crypt of Christchurch Cathedral” will be dished out by Mark Moriarty, the San Pellegrino Young Chef 2015.
What is peasant chic? We don’t know.
And for people who are more into wine, that’s covered too
Wine lovers can unleash their inner sommelier at the Taste City Fusion Wine Workshop with Lynne Coyle from O’Brien’s Wine.
Other workshops include how to pair craft beers with cookies
Yes, it’s real.
So, how much will this extravaganza set us back?
Tickets will cost €10 for the weekend, and you can get them here.
Everyone, that weekend:
