Forget Paul the octopus: meet Sneachta-pus
WHEN Paul the ‘psychic’ octopus died in October, we thought we could never love another eight-tentacled creature again. We were wrong.
Meet Sneachta-pus, built by Paul Bloof and Sara Murphy from Dublin 6. Paul told TheJournal.ie that they got “a huge response to this huge fellow” which they built in Palmerston Park today.
Paul, the oracle octopus, shot to fame during this year’s football World Cup for his flawless record in making match predictions by poking his tentacles into a box marked with the flag of the team he “thought” might win. Unfortunately, Sneachta-pus was made the day after the World Cup 2018 and 2022 locations were chosen so we can’t tell if he is similarly psychically-gifted.
He looks like a smart fella though:
Sneachta-pus. Not to be confused with...
