This photo of an 'authentic' 4-in-1 from Ireland is baffling Reddit

Do not speak bad of the 4-in-1.

WE ALL KNOW how glorious the traditional Irish Chinese 4-in-1 is, but not everyone is as sold on it as we are.

This photo, titled ‘Authentic Chinese 4-in-1′ was posted to Reddit yesterday and it’s making people feel all kind of emotions.

But those who had never seen this glorious creation were completely baffled

One Redditor living in Asia was genuinely curious about this thing we call Chinese food:

Pardon me, But can I ask what on earth is a 4-in1? I’m not from Ireland, live in Asia, am Chinese but I’ve never heard of a 4-in-1. Is this a western adapted thing or something I might actually know, just not by the name of a 4-in-1?

When the whole thing was explained to them, the disbelief was real.

Hold up – it’s rice (Chinese), chips (I’m assuming it’s what Americans call Fries; western) and curry gravy (Indian) all in one? I… Am rather amused… Is this only found in Ireland or do neighbouring countries like UK have them too?
Hah! Who would’ve known, chips with rice! My Chinese traditions are screaming blasphemy but my mind is bursting with curiosity as to how the combination will taste like.

They weren’t alone, with an Australian baffled, yet intrigued:

I’m Australian and from what I can gather it’s just a sort of generic Chinese inspired take-away rice dish with chips and gravy on the bottom.
Honestly it looks revolting and I’m wondering where I can buy one here now.

So now, there we are. Irish people spreading Chinese food to the rest of the world.
