There's a ten-storey wine theme park opening in France tomorrow
MOVE OVER TAYTO Park rollercoaster, there’s a new attraction on the horizon.
France’s ‘city of wine’ opens its door tomorrow; a ten storey vino spectacular with screenings and classes, 20 wine-themed area and exhibits and a boat ride (which disappointingly doesn’t float on a river of peeno greej. But hey, you can’t have everything).
High Snobiety reports that the building that will house La Cité du Vin in France’s Bordeaux region was designed to be a “space shaped by symbols of identity: gnarled vine stock, wine swirling in a glass…”.
The project is seven years in the making and cost $91 million to build. CN Traveler reports that it even boasts a tribute to the hangover in the form of “an enormous plush chair where you sit listening to famous stories of inebriation”.
We’re presuming they also pass around trays of jambons?
