SOMETIMES, THE BEST innovations are the most simple – the ones that have been staring you in the face your entire life and you feel like an idiot for never thinking about them before.
So, with that in mind, there’s a new product that’s just been brought on to the market by Cadbury UK:
Freddo hot chocolate
Oh. Yes.
In the past month, this new hot chocolate has been popping up on shelves across the UK
Needless to say, it’s going down well with Freddo enthusiasts
But what about Ireland? DailyEdge.ie took this very important question to Cadbury and they had some disappointing news:
There’s currently no plans for the Freddie hot chocolate in Ireland.
Right.
And Tesco – who seem to stock it in the UK – told us that they don’t have it right now, but there might be a glimmer of hope:
We currently don’t stock Freddo Hot chocolate however we conduct regular reviews of our product ranges so Freddo fans should keep their fingers crossed!
Don’t tease us.
It’s hard to say how Freddo hot chocolate would differ from regular Cadbury hot chocolate – but surely there’s a distinctive enough contrast to justify a brand new product.
It *has* been spotted in Belfast this week, so close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions!
Seriously though, Freddo hot chocolate is something the whole island of Ireland could get on board with
It’s priced at £1.50 on the Tesco UK website for a pack, so not unreasonable for the 29 or so recommended servings
Just another Freddo-based pricing argument for the future, if it ever does get a nationwide release.
We await further developments.
*cough* Cadbury Ireland *cough*
