A modern remake of Roberta Flack’s Killing Me Softly, the Fugees’ debut single was a genre-smashing, deeply affecting track that brought the trio instant fame.
Sadly, since the heady days of old, things have gone slightly awry with some of the Fugees members (Lauryn Hill, for example, was sentenced to jail for tax evasion recently), but we’ll always have this song.
