PICTURES OF THE set for the second series of the hit TV show Game of Thrones have been captured in Antrim.
Photographer Amanda Killen captured the images on Downhill Beach and posted them online, where they have already clocked up almost 20,000 views.
The images feature statues which are believed to be of the new gods of Westeros, which are featured in the George R. R. Martin books. Killen told the BBC that she’s never seen the show, which has completed its first series on Sky Atlantic. She said she’s “just beginning to understand” the impact that the Game of Thrones show is having around the world.

The production has now moved to the tiny village of Ballintoy in Antrim. The Ballymoney Times reports that the show’s harbour is being transformed into a medieval setting with filming due to begin on 18 August.
The filming was only allowed to go ahead on the condition that locals agreed, and some will be allowed to visit the set.
Location manager Robert Boake has said that they are taking measures to ban people from taking pictures of the sets in order to avoid spoilers. The Downhill Beach set appears to have been too public to contain though.
The first series of Game of Thrones was shot mainly in a Belfast studio and on other locations around Northern Ireland. There was also location filming in Morocco.
