GALLERY: an Irish sheep worth €108,000 - and 7 other pricey pets

A Laois man has sold a sheep for €108,000 at a Scottish fair – so we thought we’d look at some other expensive animals.

A LAOIS MAN has today broken the world record for the price of a Suffolk sheep – by selling one of his herd for €108,000.

RTÉ News reports that Dan Tynan’s unnamed sheep smashed the previous record for the sale of a Suffolk sheep; before now, the most anyone had paid for such an animal was €90,000 in 1998.

With the new record in mind, we decided to have a look at some of the other expensive pets you can buy if you’re so inclined.
