IRELAND’S TELEVISION and film celebrities are out in force this evening for the Irish Film and Television Awards.

Actress Fionnuala Flanagan is in line for the Lifetime Achievement award tonight, while Michael Fassbender and Brendan Gleeson are among the actors squaring off for the ‘best actor in a lead role film’ category.

Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan is among the four nominees competing for ‘best actress in a lead role film’ .

You can follow the awards show on TV from 9.40pm this evening on RTÉ One, while in the meantime the official IFTAs account has already begun revealing the winners on Twitter here.
