MUSICIANS, PRODUCERS and DJs have been paying tribue to the late singer Amy Winehouse, who was found dead at her home in north London yesterday afternoon.
The Telegraph reports that her father, jazz singer Mitch Winehouse, was travelling back to the UK from a performance in New York and that the family would release a statement later.
Here are some of the sentiments being expressed on Twitter by other artists:
The singer had publicly battled alcohol and drugs, but the cause of death has not been officially established and a forensic examination is being carried out on her Camden Square property.
Winehouse recently cancelled part of her European tour after being jeered on stage in Serbia. The singer was booed by the crowds as she mumbled through her songs at a show in Belgrade just two weeks after completing an alcohol rehabilitation programme in London.
