Future visits are set to become even better because: Penguins.

The penguinarium has been on the table for a while now – in 2010, Fianna Fáil’s Éamon Ó Cúiv had to defend his plans to give €672,500 in state funds to the project.
Galway City Cllr Donal Lyons has said that a place where penguins could “hang out” (his words) would work with the zoning of the area:
Tourism is very important to the business community in Salthill and this initiative is an excellent opportunity to complement the existing tourist related activities in the area.
