An Aidan Gillen moment from last night's Game of Thrones finale has been turned into the best meme

Sorry, what?

‘THE DRAGON AND The Wolf’ closed out the seventh season of Game of Thrones – and most people got around to watching it on Sky Atlantic last night.

And, well, if you haven’t seen it yet it’s probably best to look away now.

The episode began with the dramatic meeting of Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow and Cersei Lannister to discuss the impending White Walker threat on the Seven Kingdoms – and it turned into a very satisfying closing episode by all accounts.

Later on we see Jon and Daenerys get together… even though we had just discovered that Jon is her nephew. GREAT.

There was another very satisfying twist when it looked like Sansa Stark was set to punish Arya for plotting against her

But they turn it on to Littlefinger at the last second – and Arya slits his throat with the infamous dagger from season one

It’s that moment when Sansa reads his name that’s become the new “white guy blinking” meme

You don’t even need to be a fan to appreciate such a glorious moment of pure shock.

People are on board with the idea, as it’s gone viral on Twitter

Gillen’s last major contribution to the world of Gifs was this “cheers” moment from way back
