A Garda was caught writing out a drink-driving summons with a Guinness pen on TV last night
LAST NIGHT’S INVESTIGATION on Claire Byrne Live looked at Ireland’s district court system, where failure by some Gardai to deliver summonses results in thousands of cases being struck out.
For example, in 2016 of the nearly 5000 drink driving offences before the district court convictions were recorded in only 58% of cases.
Bad enough, right?
How about a Garda writing out said summons using a Guinness pen?
