Garth Brooks' rep has categorically denied reports he's coming to Ireland in 2018

Reports suggested that Garth could come to Ireland for three gigs next year, but his rep says it’s “not true at all”.

AH, GARTHGATE.

Who among us can forget the madness of 2014 when Garth Brooks’ scheduled Croke Park dates were unceremoniously cancelled, sparking an international crisis and prompting the intervention of the Mexican ambassador?

Ah, memories.

Since then, fans have waited in vain for Garth Brooks to return to our fair shores and make it up to us, but to no avail.

Today the Irish Daily Mail is reporting that the country superstar has “confirmed” three dates in Dublin, Cork and Limerick for 2018, citing unnamed sources from within Brooks’ camp.

The report stated that the gigs would take places in stadiums in the three cities, including Páirc Uí Chaoimh, while noting that details had yet to be signed off.

For their part, Aiken Promotions denied that there was any truth to the story, but that didn’t stop the rumour spreading.

So is there anything to the report?

DailyEdge.ie contacted Brooks’ rep, who categorically denied that it was true.

Thank you for asking, however I’m afraid it’s not true at all.

Sorry, Garth fans. Looks like you might be waiting a little while longer, so.
