THE ONLY REASON people are talking about La La Land today is because of the morto envelope mix up that made it seem like it had won Best Picture.
Despite that eventual loss, the film still picked up six other gongs, including Best Song for City of Stars – the song that’s been everywhere the past few months, featuring Gosling larking around on the waterfront:
So last night to celebrate, Irish singer Gavin James shared his own version of it.
And it’s gone down *very* well on Facebook
Gavin’s acoustic version was posted late last night, and it’s already been watched over 175,000 times. He wrote:
La La Land just won 6 oscars including best original song – amazing! here’s a little version of “city of stars”
