News of Amal’s pregnancy emerged in February, just days after Beyoncé announced that she was expecting twins. There’s something in the water, guys.

A rep confirmed that the Clooney babies were born this morning, and they mercifully have sensible names:

Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine.

Lovely! But wait, what about dad?

George is sedated and should recover in a few days.

Gas man. Glad to see he’s starting early with the dad jokes.

It was wise of little Ella and Alexander to hurry out before Bey’s twins arrive and steal their thunder – rumour has it that this could be very soon.

The Carter family is preparing for the birth, with reports that Jay Z and Beyoncé want their five-year-old daughter to watch the “magical family moment”:

They’re worried that their daughter might feel left out when the twins arrive, so they’re trying to make sure she feels involved every step of the way.

Meanwhile, fans have theorised that the singer has already given birth, as her mam was spotted at an LA hospital and her sister Solange cancelled a gig due to ‘scheduling conflicts’.

Whatever the case, we need the Carter and Clooney twins to meet up ASAP. Their combined powers could probably save the world.
