George Hook announces he's set to leave radio and television
IN A SERIES of tweets over the last hour, George Hook has announced that he will be finishing his work in radio and television over the next three years.
He started by saying that he was surprised by the success of The Right Hook, pointing out that today was the first day of the show’s twelfth season.
George then said that the programme would end in September of 2016, along with plans to leave television after the Rugby World Cup in 2015.
Born in Cork in May 1941, George is 72 years old.
