DO be ready for a painful experience
DON’T hit snooze
You’ll only feel worse. Or be there until 11am.
DO use whatever motivational tools you need
DON’T turn on the light before you’re totally ready
DO remember to turn off your alarm properly before leaving the bedroom
So it doesn’t wake your flatmate/partner/neighbourhood while you’re in the shower. You don’t want the consequences.
DON’T snuggle with anyone in your bed who doesn’t have to get up yet
It will only fill you with bitterness.
DO make sure you’re prepared before entering the bathroom
DON’T start checking your phone on the toilet
Because you’ll never stop.
DO take a shower
DON’T get dressed in the dark afterwards
DO take care of all your needs before you leave the house
DON’T lie to yourself
And finally, DO remember why you get up in the mornings in the first place.
