A woman inflated a 13ft Stay Puft man inside her house and deeply, deeply regretted it

After an arduous night of editing her new book, historian Marie Hicks decided to cheer herself up by inflating her new Ghostbusters Halloween decoration.

However, as there wasn’t a display model in the shop when she bought it, she didn’t realise that the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man was oh, just about 13ft tall – like this:

The inflatable starts blowing up automatically when you plug it in, and Hicks quickly lost control of it.

“It inflates a lot faster than you think,” she told Metro.co.uk.

The Marshmallow Man took over her living room in a matter of minutes, knocking over stuff and blocking Hicks’ way to the very plug that was causing the devastation.

Hicks’ pictures of the incident went viral on Twitter, and the “Who you gonna call?” started pouring in – but she says the whole thing has given her a “new appreciation” for the scene in the film.
