Meet Fota's new baby giraffes... and suggest some names for them
THERE ARE TWO new arrivals at Fota Wildlife Park in Cork, and they need names.
The boy and the girl were born in January and will be enjoying their first weekend outside over the next few days.
The female calf was born to parents Bláithín and Walder on 25 January, while the male followed two days later to mammy Sapphire and daddy Tadgh.
Both now stand at around five feet tall.

Fota Wildlife Park is now looking for help in naming the new arrivals, and they’re looking for Irish names in particular. You can make your suggestions on their website.
Spokesperson Stephen Ryan says:
The pair are part of a herd of Rothschild giraffes at the park.
Last year Fota’s new baby cheetah was named ROG, after Irish rugby star Ronan O’Gara.
Well, that was unexpected. Still in the mood for more unusual antics? Try Cadbury Dairy Milk combined with Lu and Ritz crackers, unexpected but delicious. Available in shops now. #FreeTheJoy
