Girls Aloud cancel St. Patrick's Day Dublin gig
GIRLS ALOUD HAVE announced that they’re cancelling their gig at the O2 in Dublin on St Patrick’s Day.
Before you all fall down in a faint, Cheryl and co are still performing on 16 March, but a statement on promoter MCD’s website says that the second gig has been pulled due to “production difficulties”.
Fans who have tickets for the 17 March gig are being given the option to switch them for tickets for the 16 March at the O2 or for the band’s Belfast dates on 13 & 14 March.
However the switch must be made before 6pm next Tuesday, and is subject to availability. Otherwise fans can get a full refund.
As for the production difficulties, MCD explains that the problem lies with the “transportation of equipment between the Irish and UK tour dates”.
The date will not be rescheduled.
Sellers of green cowboy hats and feather boas are said to be weeping at the news.
