This teen went to extreme lengths to get a McDonald's during a flood

A true hero.

WHILE YOU MAY think getting up with a hangover to get a McDonald’s is the worst thing in the world, spare a thought for Tamara Barker.

The South Australian teen was gaggin’ for a cheeseburger but stuck in a severe storm. The 18-year-old figured it wouldn’t stop her getting that delicious fast food, and borrowed her friend’s kayak to paddle to the local drive through.

Of course, they were open for some reason, and gave her four hot cheeseburgers to float home.

Her sister took a photo and posted it to the South Australian Weather Facebook page where it has received hundreds and thousands of views.

She told the Daily Mail that she was shocked the photo spread.

I didn’t expect that at all. I thought maybe my friends would see it and have a laugh but nope. It’s mental.

Storms have hit Southern Australia, with flash flooding in Port Lincoln turning the roads into streams. A pump failed during a storm and left the McDonald’s surrounded by a metre of water.

No match for a beige-hungry teen, though.
