Glass Animals have cancelled upcoming shows after their drummer was hit by a truck while cycling in Dublin
THERE’S NO DOUBT that Dublin City is a terrifying and very dangerous place to cycle.
Week after week, we are seeing cyclists sustaining serious injuries and losing their lives on Irish roads, and despite that, little is being done to accommodate them.
Last week, Glass Animals drummer Joe Seaward was one of the latest individuals to become seriously injured after attempting to cycle through Dublin.

In a statement on Instagram, the band detailed the injuries Joe sustained in his recent accident. The band, who recently performed at Forbidden Fruit in Kilmainham, wrote:

Glass Animals front-man Dave Bayley informed fans that Joe had been under general anaesthetic twice since the accident for both neurosurgery and surgery on his broken leg.
Dave also told fans that at present, they are not aware whether or not any other parts of Joe’s brain have been seriously damaged and that he has movement in his toes and fingers which is a promising sign. On top of that, he’s still laughing at jokes and wants to be woken up when the World Cup is on.

Finally, Dave told fans that all remaining shows this year will have to be cancelled.
