AFTER A WHOLE 24 hours of being cooped up in the house, the country is liable to go a bit mad on St Stephen’s night. This includes our Oscar-winning singer-songwriters.
Fresh from his annual Grafton Street busk on Christmas Eve, Glen Hansard was out Kilbeggan in Co Westmeath on Tuesday.
He dropped into the local chipper after for a bit of grub – it was there that he ran into musician Neil Moran, who just so happened to have his guitar on him… And you can guess what happened next.
The whole place roared along to Heyday by Glen’s late friend Mic Christopher, then moved on to The Auld Triangle:

The video has been shared thousands of times on Facebook since it was posted by May Maloney earlier this week – she said that the singer “stayed for ages” singing with them:
Really sound in fairness. Don’t even know if he got his chips in the end!
Good man yourself Glen!
