Everyone on Gogglebox was mortified by a segment about 'designer vaginas' last night

Watching the segment with their mam made it a bit worse for the Ryan family.

IT ALL STARTED when the families were shown a segment from This Morning with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

The segment covered the topic of ‘designer vaginas’, or in medical terms, a labiaplasty. A labiaplasty is a plastic surgery procedure for removing ‘excess’ tissue from the labia for cosmetic reasons or for women who feel physical discomfort.

This Morning began to discuss the huge variety of vaginas that are out there by using some diagrams like this one:

The general reaction was “It’s a bit early in the morning to be talking about that!”, but in fairness it’s just a little cartoon which slightly resembles the illustrative style of the cartoon Miffy. Pretty PG.

However, the Gogglebox families couldn’t contain themselves.

The Ryan family were particularly embarrassed by the diagrams.

The lads were especially embarrassed when their mother Eva said she agreed with and understood the concept of getting a labiaplasty if you’ve had kids but her sons audible cringing prevented her from finishing the point she was making.

They were only mortified.

During that episode of This Morning, somebody actually went through one of the procedures used to get a ‘designer vagina’.

Eva added that the more they talk about these things, the better.

Very true, considering every single person on Gogglebox last night reacted as if they had never seen a vagina before.

The segment was followed by a typical Philip and Holly moment when they spoke about how often Holly has to say vagina on TV.

Not a patch on yesterday’s episode though.
